A Bob Dylan song that expresses what I wish for all of us today.
FOREVER YOUNG
BOB DYLAN
"May God bless and keep you always,
May your wishes all come true,
May you always do for others
And let others do for you.
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.
May you grow up to be righteous,
May you grow up to be true,
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you.
May you always be courageous,
Stand upright and be strong,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.
May your hands always be busy,
May your feet always be swift,
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift.
May your heart always be joyful,
May your song always be sung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young."

Ah, but wouldn't it be better to have all that and grow gracefully old? For each time to have its season?
That is so true Maya's , but I took this song as meaning "always young at heart" no matter the age. :)
You know, because of our age, perhaps we have become uber sensitive to the term "young". There is really nothing wrong with the word, the generation, or the attitude.
If we were all very truthful, we would admit that keeping a little youth in our step and in our minds is desirable.
Shhh, don't tell on me...
That's a great song. I interpret it the same way you do Chancy...with it's meaning to always stay young at heart. It's a beautiful message.
Gotta love Bob Dylan :-).
Works for me!
Absolutely the most beautiful sentiment. I love this song and it is nice to just sit quietly, read the words, and think about my life. . . forever young.
