I have been gone too long and now that I am back I am confused about this new Google interface and how to get to it. Do I have a bad case of stupid-itis or did any of you have trouble with this new layout also?
This is what I get for being AWOL for so long I suppose.
I would appreciate any suggestions and help.

I was initially annoyed with it, too. But just kept at it and also, finally took time to review the blogger helps and guide. Be patient with yourself, take your time and you'll soon be fine.
