Some sad parts in this book but mostly delightful and fun to read.

Sounds like quite an interesting concept. I've often gazed into the eyes of dogs I've owned and wondered what they were thinking. They were gazing back with a look as though they may have been having the same thought about me.

I am reading an Inspector Lynley mystery by one of my favorite mystery writers, Phyllis George. The title is, 'This Body of Death'.
I swear my dog knew what I was thinking before I opened my mouth. I think he was a clairvoyant.
FWIW I've started reading Dick Cavett's "Talk Show" -- a compilation of his NYT essays.
