One of our own is ill

I have enjoyed a blog "Maya's Granny" which I discovered via Ronni Bennett's "Time Goes By" Granny lives in Alaska and Maya is her grand daughter who lives in California. Granny writes beautifully about interesting events from the past and present time also.

About a month ago Granny had serious health problems and was hospitalized and later had open heart surgery. Her daughter, Julie, came from California to be with her. The surgery went well but Granny is undergoing a long recuperative period now in an Extended Care Facility..

She has access to a computer for a short time each day. I know she would appreciate any words of encouragement from the blogesphere.

Since I do not know how to include a link to "Maya's Granny" in the body of my post; check out the link by clicking on the title of this post

GET WELL SOON GRANNY

I'm glad she's feeling better, too. Hers is one of my favorite blogs. How nice of you to direct other readers to her. They will enjoy her.

I've been following her progress since it first happened. I've sent messages as well. I know this is very hard for her...feisty lady that she is...but it does sound like she's doing better with each day.

I've been reading Maya's Granny for quite a while and I just love her humor and spirit. I know that will get her through this difficult time. Thanks Chancy....you are so thoughtful.

Nice of you to bring Maya's Granny to everyone's attention. I've been reading her too. After ups and downs in her recovery, she's in Rehab now. Rehab isn't always easy for everyone so anything we can do to give her moral support and help keep her motivated to keep going with her therapy is positive. Some people, unfortunately for them, try to leave and go home too soon, but they never get as much intense or as frequent therapy sessions if they do that.
