I have been following Robert Brady at www.pureland.blogspot.com for some time now.
Robert is an American who is married to a Japanese woman and has lived in Japan for years. I immediately thought of him and his family when the devastation hit with the earthquake and tsunami.
His daughter, son in law and 3 small granddaughters live north of Tokyo. Thank goodness they are all ok as is Robert and his wife. The daughter and family are living in a school gym as their apartment was damaged in the quake.
If you have not visited his site recently you may want to check it out. It brings this disaster in close to us knowing someone there via our blog world.

I, too, have enjoyed following Bob Brady and his Calif. brother's writings. These recent events in Japan aroused my concerns for the family welfare as it has yours. Hopefully there is some comfort for them to know of caring concerns from fellow bloggers around the world.
It is amazing how after years of reading someone's blog they become a neighbor.
I've been reading Bob's blog for years too and have been keeping updated with his posts about the disasters happening in Japan. I too have been concerned with Bob and his family's safety. I was relieved to hear that all are safe and that he was working on getting everyone back at his home and to safer conditions. I have loved Bob's writings and am praying for his beautiful family's continued safety.
I used to follow him and then lost his link when the computer crashed. I just found it on another blog. It is good to read the current posts from someone who knows what is going on first hand.
The disasters in Japan are heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers go out to all that live there. Thank you for Bob's link. I will be sure to check it out.
