Forever Young

In light of my recent "big event" the sentiment expressed in these lyrics rings even truer. The secret to eternal youth is not in creams and potions but in attitude. :)

"FOREVER YOUNG

BOB DYLAN

May God bless and keep you always,
May your wishes all come true,
May you always do for others
And let others do for you.
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May you grow up to be righteous,
May you grow up to be true,
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you.
May you always be courageous,
Stand upright and be strong,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May your hands always be busy,
May your feet always be swift,
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift.
May your heart always be joyful,
May your song always be sung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young."

I agree that it is a choice, Chancy. We can get old, grouchy and set in our ways - or we can choose to see the bright side and at least act perky (even if we don't feel it).

Amen to all of that!

What's in a number, anyway; numbers are arbitrary, Chancy, we treat them as such.

I forgot "A very happy new year to you"!

Youth IS a state of mind.

I couldn't agree with you more Chancy. Attitude and perspective on growing older is EVERYTHING. Happy New Year....health and happiness to you always Chancy... ~Joy

Kenju--I got old(er) and grouch(ier). What's wrong with that?! ; )

Most of us have better things to do with our time than to worry about our ages, don't we? Glad you are doing so well!

I failed to address the second paragraph, of my above comment, to Chancy. Sorry if I confused anyone.
