Favorite products..what are yours?

What beauty or cleansing product can you not do without?

I adore Cetaphil Cleansing Gentle makeup remover or facial cleanser. It is great even for eye makeup and the few times I wear mascara.

Blistex lip balm (the one in the round pink tin) and Burt's Bees Cuticle Cream. Yummy for that ultra dry feeling. My nails are dry and brittle and this seems to help some. And the Burt's Bees Cream has a fresh lemon smell.

Premarin Vaginal Cream.---- (don't laugh)YEP!!! I use it on my face and have done so for at least 30 years. recommended by my former dermatologist as a night cream I do believe this has kept my 78 year old skin more wrinkle free than if I had done without it.And it feels good.

(Info from Drugstore.com)

"CETAPHIL® cleanser was formulated for dermatologists as a gentle, non-irritating cleanser for even the most sensitive skin. Unlike soap, CETAPHIL is completely non-alkaline, non-comedogenic, and fragrance free. Soothes and softens as it cleanses, helping the skin retain needed moisture. Use for face, hands, and the entire body." .

"Burt's Bees Cuticle Cream

This seasonal favorite from Burt's offers up a soothing blend of natural ingredients, including nourishing Vitamin E, for the intensive care of dry cuticles, brittle nails, and chapped, cracked fingertips"

"Blistex DCT (Daily Conditioning Treatment for Lips) combines moisturizers, vitamins and protectants to provide a daily maintenance regimen for your lips.

DCT keeps your lips in perfect conditions every day of the year, in all climates, through all activities.

Smooth & Supple Lips: DCT nurtures your lips with two proven moisturizers, Aloe Vera and Cocoa Butter, plus Vitamins A&E. DCT softens and smoothes the surface of lips to help them look and feel young. DCT helps to prevent and replenish moisture-starved cells that can occur from daily exposure to dry air and other environmental conditions."

There is nothing that I use on a consistent basis, Chancy, except soap and water. I am addicted to Blistex Gentle Sense lip balm, and the only makeup I use is Cover Girl lipstick (the indelible kind you paint on) and once in a while I use eyebrow pencil, but not all the time. I use a moisturizer on my face (when I remember), and it's one that my daughter gave me for Xmas.

Hi Chancy, It's always fun to check one's comments and find a new person has dropped in to my little blogpage!! I have no idea how info about me (like an e-mail address) is already here in the comment area. Only thing is, it's got the wrong email address listed for me.....Oh well. No big deal.

I use Eucerin Calming Creme as my nighttime moisturer. This stuff is wonderful, I use it on the advice of my dermatologist....And the skin docs at my hospital's clinic swears by *Dove* soap for washing faces and wherever else we have skin---face to toes. So.

I'm always fascinated when a "new" person stops in at my blogpage, or my original weblog (which came first about 10 years ago, no blogs then), whichever. So being as nosy as I am (can't help myself, I'm just nuts I guess), I sure am curious as to how you found my blog anyway?

So you're 78? Hey, good for you, Chancy....I am 77. So? That's about all there is to say about that, right? LOL

Have you signed up at Joe Jennett's "Ageless" project? I don't want to leave this page so I'll come back and give you the URL for his site. Joe is one of the early movers and shakers of regular peoples' participation in cyberspace stuff, like blogging, weblogs, vlogs, heck....so many, many new things popping up every day, it seems! He's one of an original group of smart young men who took us to where we are now. OK then. I have blathered on long enough! Yikes.

Ageless Project. The only thing Joe would like you to do is get the code for his "Ageless Project" (it's just a small button) and put it on your blogpage....I didn't notice if you had a sidebar or not?

Doggone it. Babble Babble...Sorry about that. I'll just go on home now. hahaha Nice to meet you!

Lorraine, I found your blog after reading some of my older posts and comments. You had commented on one of them and it was interesting so I followed the link to your blog. I am totally clueless about how to add links or anything to my sidebar so I do not have a link to any of my favorite blogs there or to "AgeLess Project" I did sign up on "Ageless Project" I think , if I remember correctly, I signed up as Chancy. My real name is Janet. Chancy is my blog name. I am in the "Ageless Project" under the 1929's, My birth year.
thanks for stopping by.

I've been using CETAPHIL mloisturizing cream for a long time and started using the soap a while ago too. I really like it. I get little dry patches of skin on my cheeks from time to time. I find it helps a lot.

I keep trying different things all the time. I do like a retinol cream and I do use Oil of Olay products as a friend's son, who is a dermatologist, told her that they were the best and didn't cost so much.

Wow - I was trying to remember what someone had told me years ago was a great night cream - it was the Premarin! Thanks!

I have 53 year old skin that is drying a bit and I just started using a glycerin soap with olive oil and rosemary! from Whole Foods ($1.29!)Love it.

I NEED some of the Premarin Vaginal Cream. What a great idea. :-) Do you need a prescription. I am going to check it out today.

Like Judy, I don't use a mucfh regularly although I just started using Olay's Daily Facials and really love how they make my skin feel.

As to the Ageless Project, they totally ignored my application and that I added their widget. Is my blo0g that awful?

Sigh

I've used Dove soap and Oil of Olay since I was in my early 20s and now that I'm three days away from 71, I don't look a day over 70!

Keri Lotion for dry skin is all I've used for the past almost forty years on my fair skin after our doctor recommended it for use by my red-headed then-toddler when she was having some problems.

I've also used only Jergens bath soap or fifty years or more which I came to by default after having ruled out ever so many other brands.

I use plain lip gloss occasionally (depends on the weather) -- don't want any part of flavored ones.

I primarily prefer using L'Oreal lipstick, but no longer wear it regularly daily. Certain work-related activities frequently result in my licking it off several times a day, so just don't bother with it now as I did so many years.
I wear lipstick for some social affairs, especially if I go out at night.

I use daily whatever light brown eyebrow pencil or cake liner is available to darken my eyebrows, as the red hairs have grayed so I look eyebrowless without it.

Anything else I use is infrequent with no particular brand name coming to mind.
